Hello everyone!

(Uhrm, I actually don't know how to start this thing. *laughs* Forgive the noob in me! Anyway, so here it goes!)

Since this is a first entry, I should introduce myself here, right? So anyway, I'm jayeanne and I write the story for My Gangster Girl. This is actually my first foray in writing a comic/manga/story for public consumption so I am a bit no, wait -- a LOT-- nervous about the whole thing. 

So how was My Gangster Girl born? Well, MGG artist and Novus Karma creator, Kevin, is an old friend and we had been discussing since high school days that we would like to do a collaboration one day. There actually has been a lot of discarded scripts and storylines that were abandoned over the years -- some good, mostly bad ones though. From mythological creatures to fallen angels and normal, boring characters it seems like I've tried my hand on writing about them. A little over a year ago, Kevin suggested that we make a shoujo (girls') manga and thus, My Gangster Girl was born!

MGG is heavily influenced by some of my favorite shoujo mangas like Yamato Nadeshiko, Skip Beat!, Watashi ni XXX-shinasai and Kimi ni Todoke. But the main bulk of the story is mostly based on real life experiences (not that I personally know or have met a real gang!) and people. 

Oh and before I end, here's a little something (totally unrelated to MGG, but well.. xD).

A paper chibi! I don't really draw but I love making chibi cut-outs from paper. This one here is Shigeaki Kato, a member of the Japanese boyband NEWS. :)
