Given how many of you were impressed by our brand new Cintiq I´m posting some pics from the day it arrived so that you can get an idea of how HUGE (and awesome) it is.

As Meru said she´ll crucify me if I show her face in these pictures (we were at home and our looks were both terrible XD)  I´m covering it for this post with my awesome drawings :3 Do you like them?

That´s ALL I can draw. Yes. I.CANNOT.DRAW.AT.ALL. *Stamps feet and whines*

*Ahemn* Let´s go back on topic.

My handwriting is terrible too, I know UXD The box comes with instructions just for OPENING IT !!! O_O Because it has to be opened in an specific way, otherwise the sensitive surface could be damaged.

Most of you have probably seen this pic already. You see, our Mac is a 21" one so it´s rather big, you see. But compared to Cintiq it looks even SMALL! O_O

That massive thing weighs 40 kilos, because of not only its dimensions (24") but also the adjustable stand. Meru and I weigh approximately 48-49 kilos each (not sure, I haven´t weighed myself for a while).

This said, we have the strenght of ONE anemic dragonfly.

So just-imagine-how-hard it was for the two of us to lift THAT THING and put it on the desk UXD

 

It´s highly recommendable to use something to protect the sensitive screen from smudging when you´re drawing on it (you see, hands do sweat), so Wacom also sell this kind of gloves called Smudgeguard or something like that :P

When we tried this on we just were expecting  the Precog to appear from somewhere XD *cookie for you if you know the reference *

 

First time using Cintiq, it´s quite obvious it was the first time UXD No Smudwhatever glove (forgot to put it on) and wrong position XD. Not really wrong, but certainly it´s not the most comfortable position to work for a long time.

But well, it was OK for a first try. We´ll get accostumed to it within time :)
