Have you ever wondered what the story is behind that giant talking cat at the bottom of the mall? Or that hot dude who has black hands? Or that poor faceless guy whom everyone forgets about...

No?

Well, it doesn't matter! This is where you'll find out all about them! I'll post side character profiles as they show up in the story, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Actually, I would like to ask about the occults in general. I've noticed that all those side characters have physical differences with the "normal" human beings, but I haven't seen anything like that in Colin, despite he admits being an occult. What exactly differences an occult from the rest of humans?

You raise a very good question! More about the world will be talked about in the comic, but we'll also put out extras and such that'll have more info.

As for what Colin is, he'll actually talk about that a bit in the next chapter.

Finally! A profile!

D'Arby the Gambler

One of the gamblers that showed up in the parlour near the end of Chapter 1, with whom Colin played deuce with.

He's an occult who doesn't have a lot of magic except for his innate ability to manipulate shadows, which he uses to cheat at cards. He's a professional card-sharp, and he tends to be planted in casinos and big showdowns to even the odds.

He's a cheerful guy, probably a bit too much so. He has a tendency to act a bit obnoxious and calls people "boss" a lot. He runs into Colin later, and they play a friendly game of Black Jack which D'Arby loses miserably.

Hahha, I actually read that manga when I was a wee lass! But yes, it's quite a coincidence.

Another profile!!

Mariya

A bounty hunter who mostly specializes in getting fugitives with small rewards, but getting them all at once. She's quick on her feet and very nimble, and she also has the ability to see through glamours and disguises. Since it's not too hard for her to disguise as a human, she spends a lot of her time in the urban areas of Exodus, looking for her targets.

Her hobbies are knitting and capoeira.

Ned (the guy everyone forgets about):
Ned is a doppleganger, capable of making himself look like any other living creature. There is always someone happy to hire a doppleganger to take a test for them or stand in for them on jury duty, so Ned can always find work. He is unable to talk in his natural form, but is very polite to everyone. Because of this, he is the type that everyone speaks well of, but no one remembers to speak to.

I bet there's an official Doppelganger Sign Language. Or maybe they just impersonate great orators when they feel like talking.

The side characters with their bios and sketches are now also in the "Specials" section on the website! Feel free to ask questions here but if you'd like to just look at the pictures and info, they're available there for your convenience~
