I am getting an error message when I tried to upload a manga page. I checked the file size and file name but nothing seemed to be wrong. I also tried refreshing the page and reupload but I get the same error, even when I tried to upload the image from a different folder.

Not sure what is causing this problem right now :/ Maybe it's my browser, or perhaps it is related to the errors mentioned above?

Thanks for the comment, Ashikai! I see that you have a point, but I think having accumulative payment does not mean one does not need to try hard to bring in traffic to get money. The proportion of payment still depends on the traffic one brings in. (The number of Featured manga did grow quite a bit since I joined MM, and at that time some of the featured artists have more than one series featured.)

I am just thinking this after seeing some of the manga not being updated and the artist gets demoted. I thought the reason may be because no matter how hard they try they just cannot bring in that minimum amount of traffic (having low traffic does not mean one does not try hard ^_^), and then they lose interest afterwards and stop submitting their manga to MM.

I think this Featured system is not about grabbing traffic from other sites, but to encourage the artists to build their own group of fans by submitting quality work at a constant pace~ This is just my own opinion though~ MM is set up to help promote artists, and by giving them encouragement, the aritsts will direct their readers to MM~~

I hope this is the right place to post this suggestion, and I hope I won't get bricked for saying this...

Currently I understand that Featured Authors on MM are paid by pageviews (or whatever the standard related to views is) but they won't get anything if they cannot accumulate at least $20 in a month, and they payment be distributed amongst the rest of the authors who get over $20. With more people getting in the featured group each month, it has become more difficult to get to that goal even if they get a similar amount of views each month.

Now we have 42 featured manga. Assuming we get the same number of views, none of us will get anything. If a group always get most of the views (such as if they have a lot of pages etc). The rest of the group will hardly be able to get to the minimum payment amount.

My suggestion is to accumulate the monthly payment for each author until they reach a certain amount before payment.
For example, this month Author A earns $15 from their manga, so they won't be paid because it is less than $20.
However, in the next month Author A earns $12 from their manga, so they can be paid $27 in the next month.

I know the Featured pool is small, but I think this is a fairer and better way to encourage the Featured Authors to contribute more manga ;D

Feel free to comment and give your opinions~ And thank you for reading.

I am a manga creator in Vancouver, BC currently (but not professional). What exactly does your group do...? I visited the Wordpress site but still do not understand fully :S

I am currently having the same problem. I changed a typo on an old chapter and everything resets...

For the blank pages, the artist can simply click "add blank pages", don't change anything and click submit for its status to change back to "uploaded".

The translated pages are the hard part. We need to contact the translator, then the translator should go to their translation page and click "Update Translation" icon, then change nothing and click submit for the translation to be updated, then click the green arrow icon~

What Victor suggested sounds good. I think it may be better if the translators are notified only if new translations are needed. If they are notified whenever the chapter is updated (which are usually for typos in my case), it may be troublesome for the translators to go through the whole chapter again and see what has changed. Or another idea would be to make a check box when the artist updates an old chapter, something like "Should translators be notified about this change?" etc, so translators will only be contacted when new translations are needed.

Just my opinion.

Thank you so much both!! I have contacted the translator and the problem is solved now ;D

I am not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem. I received notice about new pending translations for my manga today. When I clicked on "Pending Translations" from my manga profile, I see 10 new manga translations (one for each page translated). So I clicked on the "Read" icon to check the pages. The first page is fine and all the others led to an error page like below:

Does this mean there is no translation or the translated page is not showing?

I am sorry if this question sound stupid because I have no idea what I should do.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I do have some of my manga (usually one-shots) in Chinese, but then I don't think many people who frequent manga-reading sites like these read Chinese. Therefore, I think it is always best to post up the English version in order for more people to enjoy your manga. Just my opinion though :/

And, typesetting is always so much faster in English for me XD

Vervain~~~ Dropping by to say hi because I can see your shimmers from afar and they are so inviting....... *being dragged away*

Yes, it would help if you can frequent the forums more, I think~

All hail the tilde users~
(Yesh! I found the forums~ I feel so smart *shot*) Hi hi all~~~

So, my manga on MangaMagazine is My Sparkling Prince-sama (I like to call it Kira Ouji more from the shortened Japanese title). It is a short shoujo manga series started in 2011 to try out a different type of inking and new types of toning by mixing random brushes and patterns together.

Summary
While Hanami was at the beach during one summer vacation, she met a boy who was making a pendant by the seaside. After he left she found a pendant with a name tag.

When she went back to high school the following year, Hanami joined the Jewellery Club, and to her surprise, the president of the club was the student council president, who was a complete... nerd.

(I don't want to put any spoilers, so there isn't much info in the summary...)

About
Read Kira Ouji on MM here!!
New pages are updated every Tuesday and Thursday (perhaps Saturdays too depending on how fast I can work <- is a full time research student + part time engineer...)

Keep track of updates on our Facebook page!
You can also send us a like~ I think I will be doing some free gifts etc events later on if I have a nice idea.

Please feel free to leave a comment about my manga in this thread or in the FB page (I think everyone can post on the FB page, but I am a total FB noob to be sure). I think it is a bit too shoujo in style, so not everyone will like it... but I still hope you can give it a try ;v; Thank you~!

Tips on how to draw better camera angles and action is also appreciated. I find referencing real people does not really help a lot because I just could not draw from real life references *fails* And backgrounds as well... *see hell getting near as I attempt more BGs...*

Thank you for reading this long post~~~

PS. Not bothering to type the Chinese version unless someone wants to read it badly LOL
