In 2012 Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, 15-year-old Shinozaki Toshie is at the end of her last year of junior high. For her history class final project, she and her close friends are grouped up to write a one thousand word essay on any Japanese historical event happening between the years 1460 and 1600. The group decides to write about the Incident of Honno-ji in which became the downfall of Oda Nobunaga, and Toshie is tasked with painting a picture representing their essay subject, since she is the only artist in the group and also a member of the art club. Upon finishing the painting, her grandmother passes down to her the Tiger's Eye, an orange diamond necklace that has been passed down on the female side of her family for generations. But what happens when the Tiger's Eye pulls her into her own painting the very next night?! She falls into the first day of the year 1582 where she meets Mori Ranmaru and becomes a vassal to Oda Nobunaga himself. Now, as new mysteries arise, abilities are gained, and war ensues, can Toshie survive for the whole year as the Tiger's Eye requires of her? And what about granny? Did she know all along?
