The world has been ravaged by creatures known as Tyrants. Humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction and the remaining survivors have fled to small armored compounds called Sanctums. There, they live in fear of stepping out into the world that has become a nightmare. During these dark times, a glimmer of hope has emerged. Haven, a mysterious congregation which rose out of the ashes of a forgotten world, has taken up arms against these tyrants. This glimmer has turned into a roaring flame of salvation. However, the brighter the flame, the darker the shadow.

The story centers around Vale, a paragon hunter making a living rummaging through the ruins of abandoned cities. His world is turned upside down when his path crosses with a mysterious woman, claiming to be his late childhood friend Renee. Vale is thrown into a whirlwind of mystery that pits him and his companions against Haven, which has set its sight on her. Secrets are revealed that will shake the entire foundation of humanity to its core, in which Renee is the key.
