About Us

MangaMagazine is an open ecosystem of creators and readers who are passionate about manga and comics. We act as a platform to support our creators and connect them to readers who are looking for unique, eclectic and professional content. Unlike other sites which overwhelm readers with... questionable... content, MangaMagazine takes input from readers to create a curated experience – highlighting high quality series in our Featured and Premium tiers. Our goal is to become a self-sustaining ecosystem where creators and readers can work together to find, develop, and launch promising new series on a global scale.

Our team of 14 people come from all over the world with diverse backgrounds working at some of the fastest growing and most exciting companies. We all share a love of manga and comics and strive to change the publishing industry one step at a time.

To revolutionize manga and comics publishing by empowering the creator and offering the reader new and innovative content.

How does it work?

Our system is a simple one based off crowd sourcing. Basically, all you have to do is register and upload your manga or comics and the process begins. Depending on the popularity and statistics of your series, you will move through our different curated 3 tier system – Premium, Feature and Member.

Member Tier: After you upload your series, your work will be in the member tier. People who like your work will be able to become fans of your work. Every time you upload a new page, information on your series will be featured in our live feed system and shared to all users on the site to help increase awareness of your work.

Each month, we take a look at the manga and comics in the Member Tier. The most promising ones based off our staff selection, number of fans, and other traffic statistics will be promoted to feature tier. The staff will contact you if you are under consideration for feature tier status.

Feature Tier: Once your manga or comic is in the Feature Tier, things start moving along quickly. Any illustrations and updates you complete will be shown prominently on the site. Furthermore, you will be eligible for income from the feature creator pool based off the traffic your series receive. Finally, the staff may begin spending advertising dollars to promote your work throughout the Internet through our partners.

As a feature series, your manga or comic will be considered for premium tier status.

Premium Tier: Premium tier creators receive funding from MangaMagazine and the community to publish at an accelerated rate, generally at least a chapter a month. Not only do they earn the most income from their work, MangaMagazine also actively advertises and promotes all of their work.

Are there any restrictions?

For members, there are no restrictions at all. You keep the rights to your work, and we will remove your content at your request (and you can do it yourself too!).

For feature works, all we request is that the series be updated a page a week, it is shown fastest by 5-6 pages on MangaMagazine, and you let the world know the this site is the fastest updating when you post anywhere else. Other than that, there are no restrictions at all! In fact, we encourage you post lots of places to grow your fan base, but upload fastest with us so we can gauge the market for your work, and help you generate an income.

For premium works, we request that the work you show on MangaMagazine is significantly faster on our site than anywhere else. Generally, we request that it can be at least 1 chapter ahead on our site at a minimum. Otherwise, we encourage you to spread your manga or comic around, and gain more fans!

Otherwise, for all tiers, you retain the rights to your work! MangaMagazine is just here to make life easy for you and get you published!
