Hullo there! I’m Jade, a Milton Keynes based illustrator and comic artist. I really like tea and mouldy old smelly books. I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Illustration. My style is a fusion of British roots with Japanese influences, and combines digital and traditional techniques. My work has been featured in Kerrang!, Neo Magazine, Electric Bloom Webzine, Non Repro and in anthologies such as Ink+Paper, Leek and Sushi, Nami, and Parallel Lives. In 2012 I won 3rd place in the Japanese embassy’s Manga Jiman competition, judged by Paul Gravett and Ed Ilya. My current projects include my popular tea-inspired webcomic Cafe Suada, and my graphic novel Siddown! I’m also a keen exhibitor, workshop leader and charicaturist and I can often be found at comic events such as London MCM Expo, Thoughtbubble, Comiket and others.
