Our team of 14 come from all over the world with diverse backgrounds working at some of the fastest growing and most exciting companies. We all share a love of manga and comics and strive to change the publishing industry one step at a time.
Our Vision
To create a site that enables manga and comic authors to make a living independently publishing their content.
How does it work?
Our system is a simple one based off crowd sourcing. Basically, all you have to do is register and upload your manga or comics and the process begins. Depending on the popularity and statistics of your series, you will move through our different curated 3 tier system – Premium, Featured and Member.
Member Tier: After you upload your series, your work will be in the member tier. People who like your work will be able to become fans of your work. Every time you upload a new page, information on your series will be featured in our live feed system and shared to all users on the site to help increase awareness of your work.
Each month, we take a look at the manga and comics in the Member Tier. The most promising ones based off our staff selection, number of fans, and other traffic statistics will be promoted to feature tier. The staff will contact you if you are under consideration for feature tier status.
Featured Tier: Once your manga or comic is in the Featured Tier, things start moving along quickly. Any illustrations and updates you complete will be shown prominently on the site. Featured and Premium authors are also allowed to sell their products on the Marketplace as well as participate in our Print on Demand program. Furthermore, you will be eligible for income from the feature creator pool based off the traffic your series receive. Finally, the staff may begin spending advertising dollars to promote your work.
Premium Tier: Premium tier creators receive payment from a pool of $20,000 that is paid out every month to publish at an accelerated rate, generally at least 15 pages a month. Not only do they earn the most income from their work, MangaMagazine also actively advertises and promotes all of their work.
Are there any restrictions?
For members, there are no restrictions at all. You keep the rights to your work, and we will remove your content at your request (and you can do it yourself too!).
For feature works, all we request is that the series be updated a page a week, it is shown fastest by 5-6 pages on MangaMagazine, and you let the world know the this site is the fastest updating when you post anywhere else. Other than that, there are no restrictions at all! In fact, we encourage you post lots of places to grow your fan base, but upload fastest with us so we can gauge the market for your work, and help you generate an income.
For premium works, we request that the work you show on MangaMagazine is significantly faster on our site than anywhere else. Generally, we request that it can be at least 1 month ahead on our site at a minimum. Otherwise, we encourage you to spread your manga or comic around, and gain more fans!
